Heat Pumps

Is a Heat Pump Right for You?

If you want an energy-efficient way to heat your swimming pool or spa, then a heat pump pool heater is for you. A heat pump is the most energy efficient, reliable, and most popular pool heating system in Southwest Florida.

Apart from being less expensive to run than other forms of heating, heat pumps offer other benefits like:

  1. Heat Pumps are unmatched for convenience and ease of use.
  2. Heat pumps don't pollute the pool area with fumes.
  3. Heat pumps are designed for trouble free operation with display codes that can help the homeowner easily operate their unit.
  4. Heat Punps are made out of materials that can not be hurt by pool or spa chemicals.

How Does a Heat Pump Work?

A heat pump uses a small amount of electricity to operate. Instead of heating with an electric heating element, heat pumps collect heat from the outside air. Even when it is 50 degrees outside, there is enough heat in the air to heat your pool.  In other words, heat is removed from the air, concentrated with your compressor, and then transferred to the water.

Islander Pool & Patio offers a variety of energy efficient models of heat pumps. Please call or come in for a free quote. We would love to hear from you!
